Main Activities
The main activities in the Japanese Language Instruction Support for Students of Tokyo Metropolitan Schools provided by the Multicultural Support Center for Students of Tokyo Metropolitan Schools are the following.
The Center also accepts inquiries in other various cases.
Japanese Language Learning Support
In order to provide support to students requiring Japanese language instruction, assistance is provided for learning in various ways, such as resource room instruction, supplementary lessons before class and/or after school, etc.
The program can help students learn basic Japanese, study Japanese for school subjects or prepare for the Japanese Language Proficiency Tests, depending on study content of choice.

Introduction of Interpreters
TEPRO can assist in finding interpreters for communications with students and parents/guardians.

- Introduce interpreters for students on enrollment.
- Introduce interpreters for a parent-teacher-student meeting.
- Introduce interpreters in confirming student and parent/guardian intentions regarding future career options.
- Introduce interpreters for preparing documents in Japanese.
Introduction of Specialists
TEPRO can assist in finding specialists to resolve the unique issues of students requiring Japanese language instruction, such as those related to residential status and cultural differences.

- Introduce specialists for learning sessions related to residential status.
- Introduce specialists for learning sessions related to Japanese language instruction.
- Introduce specialists for employment support briefings for foreign national students.
- Introduce a liaison office for legal affairs.
